Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to enhance your smile. A custom whitening tray will be created for you to ensure the whitening result is even. An impression does not need to be taken for this as we use an Itero scanner, which takes 3D imaging of your teeth, so if you’re nervous when you visit the dentist due to horrible impressions, don’t panic, our Itero scanner is at hand to make the process easier.
Teeth whitening works by applying a specially formulated teeth whitening gel that extracts staining from the teeth. Stains become visible when mineral deposits from coloured sources build up. Naturally our teeth have a porous surface and therefore become stained easily, the gel works to reverse this. Your teeth may become a little sensitive during the teeth whitening process, however this is normal and it doesn’t mean your teeth are becoming damaged.
